Mymensingh is an old and historical divisional city of Bangladesh and Ishwarganj  is a historial and highly potential upazila of Mymensingh District. Regardless of religion and caste, people from all walks of them work to develop and prosper Ishwarganj. Ishwarganj is a bright partner of all successes in the Mymensingh district for continuous development efforts in the field of sports education and culture. In the meantime, Ishwarganj has created an enviable position in various social indicators. The Upazila Administration plays a rigid role against drug, child marriage, dowry and women's oppression. It has been possible to get rid of child marriage with the joint efforts of all. Public library has been constructed in every union of the upazila, which is unprecedented in entire Bangladesh. Every Union Digital Center is providing government services to the doorstep of the people. Ishwarganj is playing a powerful role in the formation of digital Bangladesh.

The upazila is one of the pivotal upazilas in Mymensingh districts. The local administration and the representatives of the people are working together to improve the lives of the residents of this upazila.
